Ruzemi Baby+ helps parents and caregivers record and, where enabled, securely share baby-care information within a family.

Data we process

Depending on the features you use, Ruzemi Baby+ may process: Google/Firebase account information such as an email address and user ID; caregiver and family membership information; baby profile information such as name or nickname, date of birth and the selected sex/gender setting; feeding, sleep, nappy/diaper, temperature, growth, medication, care-task and appointment records; notes, moments, favourites and photos you choose to add; synchronisation and device-session information; app version and limited privacy-safe technical diagnostics; and Google Play subscription identifiers and subscription status. RUZEMI does not receive your payment-card or bank details from Google Play.

Why we use this data

We use the data to provide the features you request, synchronise authorised family members and devices, show reminders and summaries, provide backups and exports, verify Plus entitlement, secure accounts and family access, prevent abuse and fraud, investigate technical failures and maintain service reliability. We do not use baby or health information for advertising.

Health-related data and medical disclaimer

Baby-care records can contain health-related information. Ruzemi Baby+ is not a medical device. The app does not diagnose and is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions. It only records information entered by caregivers. Contact a qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns about a child. Do not use the app for emergencies; call your local emergency number in an emergency.

Photos and user-generated content

Photos, notes, appointments, moments and other free-form content are uploaded only when you choose to use the relevant feature. Family members with authorised access may be able to view shared family content.

Service providers

Ruzemi Baby+ uses Google Firebase / Google Cloud for authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Hosting and App Check, and Google Play for app distribution and subscriptions. These providers process data on RUZEMI's behalf or as required to provide their services. RUZEMI does not sell personal data and does not include advertising trackers in the app.

Security

Data is transmitted using encrypted connections. Access is protected with Firebase Authentication, Firestore and Storage security rules, App Check and server-side authorisation. Protected health fields use application-level encryption in addition to transport encryption. Certain local caches and portable backups also use encryption. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained while the account or family exists and for as long as reasonably necessary for the selected features, security, fraud prevention and applicable legal obligations. You can delete individual records and photos where the app provides that action. You can permanently delete your account in the app. If the sole family owner deletes the account, the family and associated baby data are deleted. If a caregiver leaves a shared family, that caregiver's account and personal link are removed or anonymised while shared family records belonging to the remaining family may remain. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict or delete personal data and to object to certain processing. You can use the controls in the app or contact babyplus@ruzemi.com.

Children

Ruzemi Baby+ is designed for parents and caregivers, not for use by children as account holders. Baby information is entered and managed by an adult caregiver.

International processing

Google services may process data in different countries. Where required, appropriate contractual and legal safeguards are used for international transfers.

We may update this policy when the app, legal requirements or service providers change. The current version and update date are published on this page.
